The biggest lesson that my journey has taught me is this: people will get you much farther than any amount of knowledge or experience ever could. It was the intentional decision to invest time, money, and energy into building my network that made all the difference for me. For every little bit of knowledge I gained its impact was multiplied by the connections and mentors that I gained. Surrounding myself with people who could fill the gaps in my knowledge and experience saved me years in my journey and allowed me to go from a newbie to thriving in my dream career quicker than it would’ve been possible any other way.
