I spent a huge chunk of my life doing all of the "right" things to pursue a career that felt safe and secure – only to realize that it was not going to fulfill me. When I found tech, something just, clicked. I left everything I knew to learn new skills, develop my network, get experience on my own terms, and share what I was learning with anyone who would listen.
Since then, I've landed my dream job without applying and continue to attract opportunities in my business
But the journey to getting here was anything but clear and easy. It took lots of messy action, trying things before knowing for sure that they were right for me, asking plenty of question despite my fear of looking stupid, and lot of trying, failing, and trying again. My point is that it was HARD but I wouldn’t change one part of the journey for anything.
Though it was tough, everything I have gained has allowed me to build a life that I love. The skills, connections, and experiences that I have developed, allow me to have a fulfilling career with security and plenty of opportunity for growth. I also have more freedom with my time and money which allowing me to build my dream life.

Building the life of my dreams has been all about finding ways to infuse each moment of life with simple luxury. I strive to live in the purpose God has for me and surrender to each new season that comes from it. Each new seasons bring new challenges and bigger blessings...and more opportunities to live simply and well.

Graduating with a degree in psych knowing it wasn't for me
2016
Living in Malaysia for a year to teach english. This is where I realized I wanted to pursue a career that allowed me to be hands-on and be a digital nomad.
2017
Realizing that tech was right for me and beginning to learn code in my free time while learning a ton in my tech job.
2019
Deciding to try new things and dabbling in trying non-profit work, digital marketing and management before landing in a startup.
2018
Quitting that startup job due to an increasingly toxic work environment. Burnt out but determined to find my way in the industry.
2019
major turning point!
Things are really starting to click! But not with their challenges..
Launching my YouTube channel to share what I was learning.
2020
Landing my first few freelancing clients for the skills that I was learning in web design and development! So glad that I stuck with it.

Getting my first formal training in code at Fullstack Academy for full-stack software engineering.
2021
Finishing the bootcamp and becoming a Fellow to help teach and support the next cohort of bootcampers...and realizing that I really LOVE teaching!
